Sumit Nanda grew up with a sensitive throat and had chronic ENT problems during his teenage years. Every doctor that he visited prescribed antibiotics but nothing really helped.
Sumit recalls, “I got my tonsils operated at the age of 25; however, that did not solve my problem. I continued falling sick, it became more chronic and I entered a vicious cycle of being prescribed antihistamines and antibiotics as doctors had no other systemic cure. On my part, I tried following a healthy lifestyle; I exercised regularly and ate “healthy”. By the age of 35, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and also developed migraine. Initially what used to be once a month, became once a week and then almost every second day. Every time I was sick, I would go to a doctor; they would add more medicines like anti-depressants for sleep, ace inhibitors, or beta-blockers for blood pressure and more. It wasn’t getting any better at that point.”
