Rajiv Jain: Native ways to wellness

The Covid-19 pandemic was a wake up call for many in different ways. Some learnt that distance is not always bad, some started doing activities to strengthen their immunities.

Rajiv Jain ended up realising the need to go back to “traditional ways” after watching some videos by Raju bhai Dixit, a person who provided great insights on how over hundreds of years we evolved scientifically and perfected the art of eating fresh and healthy. Rajiv shares, “Building immunity by acclimatising ourselves with impure food or air is not the right way. Immunity needs to be built through right intake and exercises that keep your body going in adverse conditions.” The result: Native Organica.

Native Organica

Old is indeed Gold

Rajiv acknowledges the value of ancient knowledge; “Indian civilisation shows that we had one of the best technologies in metallurgy but we still chose to have wood pressed oils. Why? After getting into details, one will realise that the right oil for human consumption is wood pressed oils. Wood pressed oils have cosmic energies, it extracts only round one of oil that is fit for human consumption. Whatever remains in the waste is meant for cattle, but in the modern era of profits, even that oil is extracted by various metallic processes leading to impurities and ionisation of oil which is harmful to us.”

Finding people who would work this authentically was difficult for the entrepreneur. Explaining to a contemporary consumer how valuable these clean eating habits are, what really is organic, and what actually they should be paying for all the heavily marketed stuff are also challenges he needed to overcome. At present, though, his work has brought him a long way and business is booming.

Organic Product

Organic for all

The brand has two layers of product portfolio: the staples and the value-added ones. For both of these, Rajiv says, “We are increasingly procuring from FPOs and direct farmers. We just do not rely on certification alone but process most of our products ourselves in our store in front of our customers. We believe in complete transparency to win their trust.”

It also helps build the rural economy grow in step with the business of Native Organica. For the staples, the brand has offers atta, oil, ghee, pulses and spices across India. The consumers can get millet snacks, cookies, khakras and more from the processed product line. With his hard-work, Rajiv has got Native Organica certified by SGS with NPOP.

“We have a physical store in Gurgaon which is designed like an experience centre where our customers can come and see the seeds / raw material we use, how we process in cold pressed machines, how hygienic our production facility is and much more,” Rajiv informs.

He aims to be the most trusted, affordable and transparent organic food brand. Along with celebrating his own brand’s growth, he is happy to see a positive development in the organic sector with the government’s push and people’s efforts.

“We are excited that more and more awareness is being spread by the government and various agencies including MSMEs. It is good to see the community of farmers coming forward. We see that the future is bright for India,” he shares his thoughts.

Rajiv sums up, “We are seeing increased incidences of illness and more and more hospitals are being made and this trend needs to reverse. We are excited to be part of this journey.”
