Priyanka Desai: Minimal style statement

When Priyanka Desai, a designer by education failed to find suitable accessories that match with her outfits and complement her clothing, she started designing and creating her own range of jewellery that reflects both simplicity and minimalism at its best. And that’s how ‘DE’ANMA’ came into existence.

Less is More

Priyanka shares, “DE’ANMA strongly believes in ‘Less is More’. Our design style is minimal, sharp and structural. Each piece is finely handcrafted by local artisans using both traditional and contemporary methods. We, at DE’ANMA, are committed to creating one of a kind pieces with our involvement throughout the process from sketching to production. To bring to you the finest range of jewellery to accessorise your outfits, daily.”

The brand is obliged to offer and represent simplicity, eccentricity and elegance. It aims to tweak the rules of fashion, break the stereotypes and come up with the best collection that all women can sport. Moreover, the name ‘DE’ANMA’ is the initials of Priyanka’s surname ‘Desai’ and her parents’ names ‘Anil’ and ‘Ami.’

The initial years were always a struggle with the slow progress and process. After several attempts and hardships DE’ANMA, finally came up with the best minimalist and authentic handmade accessories. “The initial years were more of a learning phase than challenging. With each mistake you learn better,” Priyanka says.

A sustainable future

The brand also offers certain essentials that are required in a wardrobe – ranging from a unique clothing line to jewellery, footwear and bags. The brand however does not use the same cut metal for their next production and makes sure to give it for recycling so that no metal is wasted. Moreover, it also gives away old jewellery for recycling.

Priyanka adds, “We make sure to do things ethically. Since all our products are handmade, we are glad to be able to provide the artisans a livelihood.”

DE’ANMA plans to evolve beautifully with time. And, it’s not always about the designs but the lifestyle it aims to achieve. The brand is looking forward to working with good teams and wishes to collaborate and come up with interesting projects in the future.
