Jacob John, Dr Merin Liza Jacob and Abraham Marett created Green And Beige, with the vision to deliver skincare products that were high on efficacy, using ingredients that were sourced without causing any damage to the biosphere. “The product and its wash-off also had to be safe for all those it touched on its journey, including the soil, water table and water bodies. The product should not build up and should be readily biodegradable, be it in the human body, planet body or animal body that it came to rest in,” shares co-founder Dr Merin.
Green And Beige are two colours of nature that resonate the most with the brand. As a clean beauty brand that intends not to dirty the two homes we have, the planet and our body, the founders wanted to symbolise the colours of both these abodes in the brand name.
A clean approach
The brand’s approach to formulation is to help its customers tackle their problems without instilling fear. In its bodycare range, the brand offers a unique Armpit Mask, a rich Body Butter, a soothing Body Lotion and an exfoliating Coffee Body Scrub.
Given that we spend so much time in front of screens, Blue Light protection is one of the first products in the Green And Beige facecare line. The health of the skin of the face is safeguarded by protecting it from blue light rays that trigger photoaging. The brand also provides a line of hair products based on the idea that healthy hair depends on a healthy scalp. The long-term maintenance of healthy scalp and hair requires this mental adjustment. The microbiota has been added to both its facecare and haircare products.
