HIFF 2026: Bengaluru Gears up to Host India’s Largest Furniture Exhibition

After seven successful editions that have transformed the way India’s furniture industry connects, trades, and grows, the Hindustan International Furniture Fair (HIFF) returns with its eighth edition — and this time, the spotlight is firmly on Bengaluru. Scheduled from 24 to 26 October 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), HIFF 2026 is set to be the most ambitious edition yet, reinforcing its position as India’s largest finished furniture exhibition.

Since its inception, HIFF has grown from a regional trade gathering into a nationally recognised platform that brings together manufacturers, exporters, designers, and retailers under one roof. The fair was conceived to address a long-standing gap in the Indian furniture industry — one that remains highly fragmented, with a large share of revenue still coming from unorganised players such as local carpenters and independent manufacturers. HIFF set out to change that by creating a structured, professional space where the industry could showcase innovation, forge partnerships, and collectively push the sector toward its full potential.Industry representatives inaugurating the Hindustan International Furniture Fair with a ceremonial ribbon cutting during a previous edition.Over its previous seven editions, HIFF built a reputation as more than just an exhibition. With over 650 exhibitors participating in recent years, it evolved into a genuine catalyst for growth — a place where new products are launched, business relationships are formed, and the entire furniture supply chain, from raw materials to finished pieces, comes together. That track record now sets the stage for an even bigger milestone: HIFF’s first major push into South India’s fastest-growing metropolitan design hub.

Why Bengaluru, why now

Bengaluru’s selection as the host city for HIFF 2026 isn’t incidental. Often called India’s Silicon Valley, the city has quietly become one of the country’s most important centers for design and lifestyle innovation. Its expanding base of interior designers, architects, furniture brands, and real estate developers makes it an ideal environment for a fair built around business networking, product discovery, and collaboration.

Organised by HIFF Trade and Events Pvt. Ltd., the Bengaluru edition is expected to draw more than 900 exhibitors and thousands of trade visitors over three days. With free entry for visitors, the event is designed to be as accessible as it is impactful — welcoming everyone from established furniture manufacturers to emerging designers looking to scale their presence in the South Indian market.

The exhibition floor will bring together:

  • Furniture manufacturers, kitchen cabinet makers, and wood product companies
  • Exporters, importers, and timber traders
  • Plywood, veneer, and wood-based panel manufacturers and distributors
  • Hardware, fittings, tools, and accessories suppliers
  • Woodworking machinery manufacturers and dealers
  • Adhesives, chemicals, and wood coatings companies

Beyond the exhibits themselves, HIFF 2026 is structured around meaningful interaction — with networking sessions, discussion forums, and organised social activities built directly into the event schedule.Visitors exploring wooden furniture displays and exhibitor stalls at the Hindustan International Furniture Fair. For exhibitors, the fair offers a rare combination of visibility and access — a chance to connect face-to-face with qualified buyers and decision-makers, many of whom attend HIFF specifically because no other South Indian event offers this scale of concentrated industry presence. For visitors and buyers, it’s an opportunity to explore the latest in furniture design, manufacturing technology, materials, and finishing solutions, all curated under one roof.

Looking ahead

As the countdown to October 2026 begins, anticipation is building across the industry. For a sector that has long operated in fragments, HIFF has steadily become the connective thread — bringing manufacturers, suppliers, designers, and buyers into the same conversation, year after year. With Bengaluru as its new stage, HIFF 2026 isn’t just another edition; it’s a statement about where India’s furniture industry is headed, and how far it has come since the fair’s very first show.
