Made from 100% organic cotton, LastTissue can save the Planet from 9360 single-use tissues and their plastic packaging.
Danish Entrepreneur Isabel Aagaard’s LastObject has recently launched a tabletop version of its popular reusable tissue pack, LastTissue.
The LastTissue campaign in early 2020 raised over US$ 800K from 14,000 backers, many of whom requested a tabletop version. In response, LastObject founder Isabel developed LastTissue Big. She says, “This initial success shows the potential of transforming traditional single-use products into reusable ones, and the LastSwab is just the tip of the spear for opening people’s ears to this radical change of how we view products. The goal is to have our products available all over the world in mainstream retail outlets such as Walmart and Tesco in order to secure significant impact.”
This tissue is gonna Last
LastTissue Big is designed to look like single-use alternatives – but is much better for the environment.
Ideal for using at home or the office, LastTissue Big is designed to look like its single-use alternative – the Kleenex box – but is much better for the environment. Made from 100% organic cotton, each tissue lasts 520 washes. With 18 tissues per box that means you’re saving the Planet from 9360 single-use tissues and their plastic packaging.
The box is made of food-grade silicone and is dishwasher-safe. It comes with a silicone barrier inside to separate the clean tissues from the dirty ones. Users pull a tissue from the top then push the used tissue inside the bottom opening. When the pack is empty, the tissues can be machine washed.
Every day 22,000 trees are cut down to supply facial tissues for the US alone. Deforestation leads to direct loss of wildlife habitat as well as climate change, soil erosion, and more. With LastTissue and LastTissue Big, LastObject aims to help alleviate this issue.
First, how LastObject started
Isabel is a designer from Copenhagen, Denmark. Frustrated by all of the single-use waste, she decided to design innovative solutions to wasteful habits that make a lasting impact. LastObject was founded in 2018 and launched its first product, LastSwab, in 2019. In 2020 LastTissue, LastRound and LastMask x Spray were brought to life. As an eco-fighter and power-mom, Isabel stands by her products and hopes to inspire others to be the change and adapt to living sustainably.Today, the company has production facilities in both Denmark and China.
Looking ahead, Isabel Aagaard’s long-term goal is to eliminate single-use products altogether by creating reusable alternatives such as LastSwab, the world’s first reusable Q-tip. With three products on the market since 2019 she’s already helped eliminate over 1 billion single-use items and aims to make that 50 billion by 2023.
The World’s First reusable Cotton Swab
LastSwab is an alternative to the everyday cotton swab without the large environmental footprint. Made from TPE, PP, and stored in a bio-based carrying case, one LastSwab is meant to replace 1000 single-use cotton swabs.
This reusable q-tip comes in two different models for different applications. One for general q-tip uses and one for more beauty oriented ones. They are both made from durable yet flexible, high quality, and non-toxic materials which are gentle on the skin and very easy to clean.
Both LastSwab Original and LastSwab Beauty come with a convenient and biodegradable carrying case that keeps your reusable q-tip stored away safely.
LastSwab, above all, is an opportunity to transform your routines for the benefit of the Planet while also simplifying and decluttering our lives. All that’s left to do is decide which LastSwab version will add value, which may end up being both!
The Reusable Tissue Pack
If a tissue pack and a handkerchief had a baby that would be LastTissue! It offers the best of both worlds: the easy, on-the-go availability of the tissue pack and the environmentally-friendly, soft-on-the-nose handkerchief.
LastTissue has the convenience of being travel-sized so it can be used on-the-go and all while having the benefits of being a reusable and sustainable alternative.
One LastTissue box contains 6 reusable tissues made from 100% organic cotton that fit into a sleek minimal case made with 100% silicone. The case is dishwasher safe so you can easily keep it clean and disinfect whenever needed. You can wash the tissues 520 times each which should last you many years!
Simply take a tissue from the bottom, use it, and then store it on top of the marked-tissue barrier. This way, you’ll push the clean tissues down, making them ready to use and dividing them from the used. You’ll know you’re on your last tissue when the marked one appears – that means it’s cleaning time. After washing, you repack and use them all over again.
Why choose reusable tissues?
Every year, the United States alone cuts down 22,000 trees and uses 26 million gallons of water, just for tissue paper! By blowing your nose with LastTissue instead of a single use version you save upwards of 2 litres of water every single time.
Production of LastTissue takes 3 times less energy which saves several tonnes of resources globally. The most important part, the LastTissue is baby soft (very essential during sneeze attacks!) so no more rashes on your nose due to coarse tissues or hand towels. Messes happen. We are human after all. The trick is cleaning up our messes without creating even bigger ones elsewhere, and LastTissue can do just that.
LastTissue also allows for the portability of traditional travel tissues, without the waste! Clean up those messes or wipe that nose, stow the used tissue in its separate compartment, and feel better knowing you’re helping the Planet become a greener and healthier place.
The Reusable Cotton Round
Lastround is a reusable and sustainable alternative to single use cotton pads. Every pack consists of 7 reusable cotton pads and a bio-based case.
LastRound is a sustainable alternative to single-use cotton rounds. The company uses 100% natural and eco-friendly materials during the production of LastRound. Even the packaging is recycable.
