AIOI to launch Certificate Course in Skill and Entrepreneurship Development in Organic Products

The market for organic products in India is rising exponentially with a growth rate at 15%. There is a great potential for organic products with profitability for advanced business goals. With better management systems, enhancement in infrastructure and capacity building will also provide a competitive edge in the international market. To harness this potential, the Organic Industry needs skilled manpower in various areas specific to organic operations .

With an objective to cater the needs of the Organic sector, the Association of Indian Organic Industry (AIOI) has signed an MOU with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) to initiate an online Certificate Course from October 2021.

Dr P V S M Gouri, Executive Director & CEO, AIOI said, “This course will be career and market oriented for graduates, post graduates in Agriculture, Food Engineering, Environment Sciences and Applied Sciences. This initiative of AIOI will also help in in promoting Atma Nirbhar (Entrepreneurship) and empowerment for employment in the Organic Industry.”

This online course has been specially designed to address the specific requirement of the Organic Industry in various areas of organic operations by professional experts in specific fields and will be covered in five modules of 40 hours.

The information, guidance, practical training and course completion certificate will provide the participants with several opportunities in placements in the Organic Industry like auditors for assessment of organic programmes, opportunities for organic certifications, as quality assurance executives /quality managers/food managers, new product development managers, organic agriculture consultants and many more.
