So why not Organic for your pets?

From their toys to their shampoo, we always want the best for our pets. We will never intentionally choose anything that would harm them. But unfortunately, we are still doing it when it comes to their food.

Regular pet food, though more readily available, can have long term consequences on their health. Organic Pet food, on the other hand, contains natural vitamins, proteins, amino acids, fatty acids, and minerals along with little to no filler, artificial flavours or colours making them more nutritious and easily digestible for our fur babies and making the switch to Organic products one has better chances to avoid such consequences.

To get organic certification a food item must contain 95% organic components in it.

Why should you make the switch?

Organic products are packed with natural, healthy, and safe components that can improve your pet’s overall health and help avoid heart disease, cancer, vomiting, diarrhoea, and organ damage which are a few of the health problems that can result from eating insufficient and excessively processed foods.

Obesity in dogs is a frequent concern nowadays, having outcomes such as organ failure and joint issues. Organic products can help with these concerns, as well as maintain a healthy weight and increase energy levels, allowing them to continue their active activities and keep their hearts healthy.

Organic Pet food is also gentler on their digestive systems because it is made with high-quality ingredients and has no artificial chemicals or fillers, resulting in less gas and improved stool.

Because organic products contain higher-quality ingredients, frequent allergic responses (such as maize) are prevented, and it also helps the immune system develop  (and stay) healthy, lowering the risk of infections.

In addition to these benefits, a higher-quality diet improves their skin and coat health, enhances vision, and improves their general quality and life expectancy.

Organic products are not only better for your pet, but it is also better for the environment because there are no artificial fertilisers, chemical chemicals, or synthetic pesticides, thus the soil fertility is preserved.

Organic in their bowl

When it comes to organic food for pets, there is a wide selection of options available.

Castor & Pollux Organix dog and cat feeds are USDA certified organic and among the best on the market; their recipes are made entirely of organically sourced ingredients.

Yarrah is a Dutch-based Organic Pet food brand, offering dry, canned, and treatment options for dogs and cats.

In India, some healthier options that are available include Fresh for Paws, which sells a choice of wet food as well as dog peanut butter made with organic coconut oil. The brand also does not use any by-products or preservatives in the products.

Another alternative is Dawgie Bowl, a UP based brand that uses no food fillers, added flavours, or preservatives in the products.

Wag & Love is another good option as it is all-natural and contains no byproducts, preservatives, or artificial additives. It also has the appropriate balance of fresh chicken, vegetables, and fruits.

Furthermore, choosing organic products does not always mean purchasing processed or canned food; your dog can have some veggies by eating organically farmed vegetables in a home prepared meal.

This is also crucial because feeding your pet the same meal every day might induce allergies, so having some variation in their diets is preferable.

Dogs, like humans, are omnivores, meaning they may eat a variety of plant and animal-derived foods to meet their nutritional needs. If a dog solely eats meat, his nutritional needs will not be fulfilled.
