In an attempt to give organic farmers in the Southern region of India a national and global exposure, the 4th National Organic Agricultural Products Exhibition cum Sales 2022 will start today in Vijayawada.
Primarily organised by the Go-Aadharita Prakruthi Vyavasaydaarula Co-operative Society, the National Organic Fair will be inaugurated by the Mizoram Governor Kambhapati Hari Babu in the SS Convention Hall. It is being supported by the Indian Kisan Association.
The fair will see a participation of over 100 organic farmers from AP, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Moreover, there will be many sellers, consumers, and new visitors wishing to switch to organic products. There will be stalls for Organic produce like grains and vegetables, clothes, medicines, and organic plants in pots for gardening.
The government-supported gathering of stakeholders of this sector aims at encouraging the farmers to cultivate organically, following ancient traditions and get the deserved price for their produce; promoting organic products to the people, discussing the financial support that needs to be given to the producers, and their overall societal and economic development.
Continuing the tradition of having a conference in these fairs, a seminar with the presence of important personalities of the horticulture field will be organised on the first day itself. As the exhibition progresses, there will be a talk on the topic “Health is the Greatest Fortune” by Dr. Ramachandra Rao.
