Emami Agrotech is the edible oil and bio-diesel arm of Emami Group of Companies, the Rs 25,000 cr. business conglomerate headquartered at Kolkata. It has diverse business interests which include production and distribution of Edible Oil, Spices, Specialty Fats, Vanaspati and Bio-diesel. It has also into commercial farming of cash crops like oil seeds, cereals, spices, millets, and fruit orchards through own as well as contract farming on more than 8000 acres of land. Tamil Nadu – Virudhanagar, Ramnathapuram and Tuticorin

Cultivation is carried out on vast dry lands and in some parts of the land – irrigated cultivation is carried out, wherein irrigation is supported by equipment operated by solar energy operated pumps. Apart from seasonal crops like Cotton, Millets, Oil seeds and Pulses and Sorghum, cultivation of Pomegranate has also been initiated.

Odisha – Balasore

Certified organic farming of Banana, exotic varieties of fruits and vegetables and special variety of Bengal aromatic rice (Gobindo Bhog) are being carried out.

Uttar Pradesh – Jhansi

The Cultivation Division is also involved in the cultivation of a variety of seasonal cash crops and other crops in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and also have fruit orchards.Emami Agrotech

Taste mantra

The company has created a strong presence in the Edible Oil industry with its brands ‘Healthy & Tasty’ and ‘Himani Best Choice’. It recently forayed into the spice market by launching a diverse range of pure spices, blended spices and tastemakers under the brand name Emami Healthy and Tasty Mantra. In August 2019, Healthy and Tasty entered into the spices category with the launch of its sub-brand Mantra – a range of 100% natural and fresh spices, masalas and tastemakers. Minimum processing and world class quality control methods of Mantra spices ensure that it retains natural nutrients, taste and flavour. The brand has also been awarded the Superior Taste Award from the International Taste and Quality Institute, Brussels, Europe after a rigorous process of tasting by 200 experts.Emami Agrotech

The company is also one of the largest manufacturers of Biodiesel (Palm Methyl Ester) in Eastern India and a key exporter of biodiesel to Europe and other South East Asian Countries.
