When the pandemic broke out in 2020, it was a tough time, but some good things did happen – people became more compassionate, more sympathetic; everyone wanted to help to make things better. During that time, Samasta founders – Sushant, Prateek and Jai were stuck together in one house because of the lockdown, feeling helpless. They too, like the rest of the world, wanted to help. They organised a food drive for the migrant workers, donated, assisted in hospitals but that just didn’t seem enough. That’s when an idea formed in their minds, an idea to make lives better in the long run.
Coming from the food background, their idea naturally revolved around improving the quality of the food which is consumed all around. The idea soon became a project which gave them hope and a direction during those testing times, making them feel whole and complete. And that is why they named the project, Samasta which then became their company, Samasta Foods (Samasta means whole; complete and unified). “We’ve unified our forces to complete your healthy lifestyle with a whole lot of organic in it,” says Sushant, talking about the name.
In February 2021, Samasta Foods was born with a simple but impactful vision of giving back to society and paying homage to Mother Nature by growing and promoting organic products and an organic lifestyle.
