Jeev Goodness: Small is good

Organic foods have gained popularity in recent years due to growing consumer interest in health, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. But did you know that sourcing them from faraway places can undermine their quality and negate the environmental benefits?

It is necessary to intertwine organic food consumption with going local, so your food reaches you faster, fresher, with a lower carbon footprint. For a ‘beyond organic’ kitchen, one can order handmade ingredients for healthy meals every day from Jeev, a brand that takes pride in producing small batches of each product so nothing sits around and goes to waste.

NOT JUST ADDITIVE-FREE

The company was formed “with the aim of including the goodness of our earth in the products we produce, in the purest form possible.”

Jeev Goodness and g.o.s.h (Goodness | Original | Sustainable | Healthy) are the registered brands of Puvi Organics Private Limited, a company established by a group of professionals and a farming family with a deep expertise in agriculture. Puvi means Earth. Jimmy C George is the CEO.jeev

Jeev Goodness partners with farmers who share their beliefs and use Native seeds to grow the raw materials needed for the products, despite the lower yield and greater labour. The people behind Jeev Goodness emphasise on going beyond organic- that is, not only they grow food without colours, pesticides and additives, but are opposed to using HYV and GMO seeds. They are accredited by FSSAI, and ensure food safety by packing it in glass bottles, paper craft pouches, and biodegradable food-grade PET bottles.

The  Jeev  Goodness  factory is located in a pollution free environment at Vagatholuvu, a small village with coconut groves and agricultural lands. “We provide healthy and nourishing options for cooking, eating, and holistic living. Through our production process, we are bringing back the traditional methods practised by previous generations that will allow us to stay healthy and nurture the place we inhabit,” shares the Jeev Goodness team.

They actively collaborate with local farmer communities and suppliers in sourcing natural and native raw materials, thereby promoting sustainable, environment-friendly farming practices. The location of the partner farms can be traced by the consumers with a few clicks, or they can directly ask the folks at the company!
