Look who’s launched Organic Manure

Apna Khaad” an organic manure was launched recently by India’s Minister of Food Processing Industries, Pashupati Kumar Paras. It is one of the first of its kind initiative carried out by National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and Clean Efficient Energy (CEF) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The manure which is derived from residues of plants, animals and humans contains rich quality nutrients in  complex organic form which is suitable for agriculture and horticulture use adding quality and growth to the crops. The manure has three main plant ingredients like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium along with organic carbon which helps the crops with needed nutrients and growth.
The manure also has a clean and positive impact on the environment and increases the soil health protecting it from harmful chemical fertilisers.  Manure can be used on any crop or plantation.

The minister while addressing the crowd welcomed this initiative which helps in the development of agriculture and horticulture sector in Jammu and Kashmir building an organic community. He also thanked entrepreneurs like Peerzada for their investment in the clean environment programme.
The “Apna Khaad” organic manure will be soon appointing the dealers for their supply in every corner of the state promoting the healthy organic practices and making the environment green and healthy, said CEF’s official Ferroz Hussain.
“CEF Organics, a unit of CEF group, will promote this scientific and forward way which will be used for farming and development of the state in a healthy manner and turn them towards organic farming by switching from chemical fertilisers to organic manure,” said entrepreneur Peerzada
The event was organised by the Horticulture Department of Jammu and Kashmir region and was attended by many people mostly from the agriculture community.
