Bumblebee AI: Using tech to mime Nature

When it comes to the world of plants and agriculture, many flying insects play a significant role. Despite their little frame, they can influence the quantity of crops growing in an area. That is through pollination, where insects like honeybees, ants, moths, beetles and many more carry pollen grains from plant to plant. What happens when modern technology supplements Nature’s ways? It can result in ag-tech initiatives like Bumblebee AI.

Israel-based Bumblebee AI’s Founder & CEO, Thai Sade saw the Bumblebee, a great natural pollinator, and felt it was the perfect name for his venture. “Besides that, there is a nice link to Bumblebee the character from the Transformers movie, which gives it a more robotic-edgy context,” he shares.
