Luv Joukani: For the luv of fragrance

Luv Joukani, an avid perfume lover, used perfume on a regular basis until one day the same love began to irritate his skin, resulting in a rash. Doctors urged him to limit his usage of perfume because it was the source of the rashes.

When confronted with the dilemma, he along with his father Balkishin Joukani and brother Kush Joukani began looking for viable solutions and safer alternatives. However, finding an organic base perfume with a fine and rich fragrance turned out to be more difficult than they could have imagined.

In their attempt to find a solution, they discovered that such problems were faced by many people, leading R&D to make a solid organic base perfume with fine fragrance that will last long. As a result, Educe was created.

Organic perfumes are the new craze

“All Educe solid skin perfumes are India-made organic ingredient wax-based perfumes which do not rely on water and alcohol as cheap fillers, not only they’re better for our skin but are longer lasting than traditional perfumes,” says Luv talking about his products.

All Educe products are alcohol-free, portable and travel friendly (won’t be stopped at the airport also). “Smaller product means lower carbon emissions,” comments Luv.

Educe has currently launched four scent profiles, but plan to expand them as much as possible in order to provide their customers with a greater selection of perfumes to pick from.

However, the Joukani’s had to overcome various issues on the organic journey. Talking about the challenges they faced while getting into the organic sector, Co-Founder Kush states, “It was a really difficult task, as we could not add chemicals to increase fragrance effectiveness. So using only organic components, we ensured that the product’s core objective was not hampered.”

Solid and safe

He continues, “While making an organic/natural base perfume with fine fragrances, we had to keep our costing effectively reachable for our consumers. We also had to make sure the product delivered satisfactory results when compared to other perfumes in terms of fragrance quality.”

While Educe accomplished that, it also managed to make it portable and travel friendly, with no leakage worries.

Speaking on the organic perfume sector of India, Mr Balkishin Joukani, says, “The solid perfume sector is comparatively new to our country while this concept is well accepted in many foreign countries. It is only a matter of time that the same happens in our country as people have become more conscious about the environment, the planet, and their own physical and mental well-being. ”

The company wants to extend his fragrance options in the initial phase to provide customers with a wide selection of fragrances to choose from, and the brand is also developing other organic-based personal care items.
