An experience from the past inspired Ranjana Sharma, the founder of Naira’s Organic Essentials to start her own organic beauty product brand that offers authentic, natural beauty. Ranjana wanted to bring a change in the beauty industry as she was always inclined towards homemade products since her childhood.
Ranjana shares, “There was something about how “Natural Beauty” is believed stuck around from one generation to generation as belief and inspiration. We wish for people to realise that natural beauty is essentially more ethical than traditional products made from hazardous chemicals.”
She named her company after her daughter’s name “Naira” and spoke about how her daughter inspired and helped her vision to start her own business.
Work Life balance
Ranjana has always flawlessly balanced both her corporate life alongside her family, however, starting a business of her own was never an easy task as she was not from the beauty industry.
She adds, “I decided to take certification from CSDO institute Delhi and get the certificate to become a manufacturer for the cosmetic products. In the beginning I hardly received any orders; this made me think twice but I always believed in the quality of my products and did not give up that easily.”
The entire process from setting up an organic beauty product brand to creating her own website took Ranjana nearly 5 years and now her products are available on marketing portals like Amazon, Flipkart, Jio Mart etc.
Responsible sourcing
The company sells the entire range of cosmetic products from skincare to haircare products. It has a wide range of products for different skin types and are lab tested certified. Moreover, the company sources it’s raw materials from Delhi.
Ranjana always makes sure the ingredients she buys are cruelty free and has an expiration date. She also ensures to never buy unsustainable ingredients and check the labels before purchasing materials for her products. “We always try to make our product’s result oriented from the start. I am always focused on my customers’ feedback and accordingly make the products,” she says.
Future footprint
Ranjana has her future roadmap chiseled out. “The goal is to create a new product that will appeal to a wide range for women, men as well as to children. To create products that are affordable , minimal, less time taking in this busy lifestyle and most importantly affordable but also high quality so that people will continue to purchase them over time.”
Currently the brand is working and focused on launching a new product as per market requirements. It promises to include a variety of hair, body and skincare products.
