Nammalvar, the organic movement’s leader in Tamil Nadu is the one who inspired Syed Ibrahim to take a step towards the organic lifestyle.
It was back in 2015 when he was still working as a medical representative in Coimbatore. He was looking for natural foods for his family at that time when he observed Nammalvar’s talks on YouTube, and Nammalvar mentioned Healer Baskar Anatomic Therapy of Natural Healing in his talks.
“We watched videos of natural healer Baskar Anatomic therapy. And in 2016, I left the industry for vegetable trading in Ooty. At the time, I saw a video in which Healer Baskar discussed Subash Palekar’s method. I went to Pune to train for a week in Subash Palekar’s natural farming methods. That one week taught me a lot. After completing the training, I began using the SPNF method in Ooty on my 80-cent lease property.” Syed told us about his inspiration for starting the company.
He adds, “For a long time, I was researching Tamil herbals for natural healing. We used those herbs to boost our family’s immunity and live a healthier lifestyle. As a result, my life partner Salma Barisha advised and motivated me to start Way 4 Wellness company to serve people who are also looking for healthy, natural, traditional home care products, foods, and so on.” That’s how Way 4 Wellness was born.
Salma is also the proprietor of the company.
Way 4 Wellness is based in Tamil Nadu offering eco-friendly, organically derived, plant-based, herbal-based, and biodegradable components in home wellness care products.
Setbacks and comebacks
The duo faced their fair share of challenges in the initial years.
“I soon realised that this method was not suitable for hilly areas, therefore I began looking for alternative natural farming methods for hills.
Thiru Gnana Prakasam’s goal of creating a self-sustaining food forest on his land had inspired me to improve soil fertility, crop yield, and pest management. So after our long research, we plan to start implenting that method in our farm,” Syed explains.
Today the company offers a diverse range of items, including home care kits, kitchen and laundry kits, as well as lavatory kits.
Some of the company’s flagship goods include Wellness Floor Care, Wellness Detergent Bio-matic, Wellness Dish Wash Clean, Wellness Floor Care, Wellness Herbal Pillow, and Wellness Herbal Immune Booster Green Tea etc.
“We are planning to launch Wellness Herbal Water Purifier, Wellness Hibiscus Tea, Wellness Earth Pots, Wellness Herbal Oil and Wellness Soaps,” Syed shares insights about future plans.
