Biofach India brought sellers, buyers and producers (farmers) of natural and organic produce on a single platform

The 14th edition of BIOFACH INDIA which was held from September 1 to 3, 2022, which was co-located with NATURAL EXPO INDIA and the premier edition of MILLETS INDIA, in Greater Noida, offered manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of natural food and beauty products a platform to share and exchange the industry growth perspective. The premier edition of MILLETS INDIA was the highlight of the event which was organised by NuernbergMesse India in collaboration with APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority). Natural Expo India was supported by Integrated Nutrient Management, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

The events promoted the national schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare namely Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana and Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region. In the APEDA zone, north-eastern states gathered a lot of attention with their unique produce and retail scope for the products.

The event brought the leading companies as well as start-ups from the organic, millets and natural industry together. For the business visitors, exhibitors offered a diverse range of products on display in addition to an engaging knowledge programme, along with relevant business and networking opportunities.

At the venue, the Global Summit on Organic and Natural Product, held during the event, gathered a lot of interest among farmers, producers and retailers. Several interesting discussions were held like ‘Trends and news of the organic market in India’ and, ‘For the environment, climate & sustainability: How India can meet its organic target’, organised in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Krishi Udyami Krishak Vikas Chamber. The summit highlighted the key concerns of farmers and what could be done to offer them solutions. It also brought forth the challenges that lie within the sphere of organic and natural farming and the discrepancies that are acting as hindrances for the growth of the sector.
