Aroma oils to awaken your Kundalini Chakras

Radhika Talati Iyer, Founder of Beauty by Anahata talks about the wonderful health benefits of aroma oils.

Beauty Of Anahata

The reason we call it the “awakening” of the Kundalini is because it is an energy that is ever-present in us, we just never gave it attention. The more we disregard our inner knowing the quieter it gets and over time some of us have a hard time hearing it at all. It doesn’t mean that we’ve lost this energy, but like any muscle in our body, it is underdeveloped. To awaken the Kundalini, there is a powerful practice known as “Kundalini Yoga” and tools like essential oils help us focus on and enhance these practices in a faster and easier way. Essential oils can help us in our spiritual awakening, furthering the activation of our chakras and the Kundalini. Due to their healing properties, essential oils eradicate negative energies and thereby create space for spiritual growth. Use of essential oils create balance and promote a feeling of grounding.

Let us get familiar with the 7 chakras and what the powerful Kundalini energy is. The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit, and means “disk” or “wheel.” Chakras are energy centres in the body that correlate to certain psycho-emotional functions. They each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs in the body. The first chakra in our body is situated in the perineum and is known as the Mooladhara chakra. This is where the Kundalini energy remains coiled up until awakened. Above it is the Swadhishthana chakra present in the sacral bone. In the solar plexus above the naval is the Manipura chakra. The Anahata chakra is next, located in the heart. The Ajna chakra is located in the eyebrow centre. Lastly, the Sahasrara chakra is in the crown of the head. Each chakra embodies a different energy and enhances different parts of your being. The kundalini travels from the bottom through these chakras upon awakening, until it merges with the awakening of the Sahasrara. Awakening the Kundalini allows us to be ‘in flow’ with ourselves. Here are some essential oils that can help you on your spiritual journey:
