Why trees?
Planting trees and conserving forests is a simple, cheap and low-tech way to provide employment and economic opportunities for people and communities, improve soil quality and water holding capacity for crops, create and conserve forest habitats for wildlife, and remove pollutants and improve the atmosphere for everyone.
A reforesting organisation
Reforest supports carefully selected non-profit projects and organisations involved in “grass-roots” tree-planting and forest conservation activities around the world: from planting orchards to provide food and employment, to conserving forests to provide habitats for endangered species. Experience shows us that the main limitation is funding -to pay for people, materials, irrigation and power- so with our support this important work can take place
