Eat Just, Inc. is a San Francisco, California based private company best known for its plant-based eggs “JUST Egg.” The corporate company was founded in the year 2011 by childhood friends Josh Tetrick and Josh Balk. It develops and markets plant-based alternatives to produce eggs, mayonnaise and cultivate meat products.

In 2013, the company’s first product “Beyond Eggs” was produced with the intention of replacing eggs in baked goods and is made with peas and other ingredients. And later in the year 2017, they started selling their next product “JUST Egg” as a substitution for real eggs.

Due to the current rise of environmental issues, nutrition, health issues, animal welfare worries etc people are switching from consuming real eggs to plant-based vegan eggs. Whereas half of the Americans are seen to prefer egg replacement products and chose vegan products like JUST Egg in place of regular eggs.

If you can get the proteins without harming the Planet, why not? Plant-based eggs not only just offer personal health but is also environment friendly.

What is JUST Egg?

JUST Eggs are made of mung bean protein isolate. Besides mung beans the ingredients that include while preparing this vegan plant-based egg is water, canola oil, egg like texture, natural flavours and several other spices. They are liquid in form and precisely have the identical yellow thickness like real eggs. They also come in the form of pre-baked, fluffy patties.

Recently in January 2020, the company released its frozen version. JUST Egg is solely plant based and there are no additional artificial colours and industrial chicken farms are involved. They require 98% less water, carbon emissions and 83% less land to produce.

Is JUST Egg really healthy?

JUST Egg is a good source of food for both the ones who are allergic to eggs and are vegans. It is a healthy and sustainable option. They are cholesterol free and offer the same amount of protein like a regular egg. Three tablespoons of liquid JUST Egg is equal to one egg. It contains 70% calories, 5 g of fats with 0 g of saturated fats, 1 g of carbohydrate, 0 g fibre, 5 g of protein, 0 g of sugar, 170 mg sodium and 0 mg of cholesterol and no dairy products.

It is sort of a both good and sustainable way to swap regular eggs with JUST Eggs if not forever, a minimum for once. However, they are not only cholesterol free but have properties to keep the heart healthy.

Jake loves JUST Egg

On a latest post on twitter the company’s official page has uploaded a gif featuring Hollywood’s famous and oscar nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal on 5th of August at 10:30 pm with a caption above, ”We’ve officially sold the equivalent of 300 million eggs made from plants, only 1 million of which were eaten by Jake Gyllenhaal. Way to eat for the planet, Jake.

Jake and tennis champion Serena Williams have teamed-up with Eat JUST to promote the benefits of plant-based vegan eggs.

“I’m excited to be partnering with JUST Egg,” the actor stated. “I’m eating more plant-based for my health, and JUST Egg makes it easy and delicious. I also recognize the impact our food system has on our planet, so JUST Egg’s mission is important to me. And, honestly, who can turn down being narrated by JB Smoove?
