Tearaja: Brewing a new vibe

Manish Jain, a third generation tea entrepreneur, is changing the tea segment with his unique product line.

Started in 2016, with the vision to disrupt the unchanged 200 year old tea industry, which still works in slow supply, Tearaja, a unique tea brand serves fresh and delicious tea responsibly. And, with 5 rigourous testing processes and careful measures, safety is also assured.

Since several years, my father owns a retail tea store in Lalbazar in central Kolkata which is the hub of tea in India. After 30 years of being in the market, we realised that nothing in the business had changed – the entire process of selling tea was the same. There was nothing monopolistic in the business. That’s when we thought of creating a brand and launched Tearaja. We are a Digital First Brand – we sell everything online from our own website and through other aggregators.”

Throughout the years, the brand has been able to satisfy loyal customers and every year keeps on adding new teas and new verticals.

Being a bonafide and second generation brand in the business, Tearaja did not face major complications while entering into the organic sector. Otherwise tea is basically a precise subject which needs years and years of experience. Manish informs that it takes a lot of time and perfection for consumers to like your product.
